The NHS has announced there are to be 26 sites set up by April 2022 to offer physical health checks and psychological therapy in one building.
These centres could provide treatment for around 6,000 new parents in the first year. Support will be offered to new mums plus partners and families through the new hubs.
Help will be available from before conception for those with pre-existing mental health conditions who want to get pregnant- until the baby's second birthday.
The centres will also provide training for maternity staff and midwives as well as providing psychological therapies to people during pregnancy and after giving birth.
The NHS aims to have a hub in all 44 local NHS areas by April 2024.
